Sauna rocks are the heart of any sauna. While providing a nice surface to splash water, they also retain heat and release it more gradually, providing a gentler heat to the sauna bather.

Check out our line of deep rock and tower saunas, which boast a much higher rock capacity that most heaters. Increasing the rocks will add to the sauna’s warm-up time, but will allow the heat to remain for longer.

Our rocks are mined in Ontario from subvolcanic Diabase rock, which is dense and will not break apart in the sauna. This is a type of Igneous Granite commonly used in sauna heaters.

Our rocks come in 33# boxes, enough for most standard electric heaters. We have a deal on 100# bundles, enough for most floor and wood burning heaters. Extra rocks can be piled tall, and any extras can also be switched out after a year or two. We recommend washing the rocks annually, and switching every 5 years or so.
